The student has an exceptional ability to develop creative ideas with critical understanding, refine ideas and select experimental media and materials. Realisations of ideas and plans evidenced are highly imaginative, personal and meaningful.

The student created confident and assured work and submitted within timescales, showing perceptive and thorough understanding of visual language throughout the work.

The student has creative and consistent ability to create visual recordings, evidencing effective understanding and ability of visual recording.

The student has used a range of research methods to develop an imaginative range of ideas that lead to effective visual recording outcomes.

The student has evidenced a competent and consistent range of methods to inform design decisions which have led to a clear creative outcome that can be justified.

The student is clearly competent in understanding of a particular context, problem and need with some innovation shown towards creative idea development.

The student has been able to evidence emerging competent abilities to record ideas, observation and meaningful responses to the work.
