SMSC in RE
SMSC is an inherent and integral feature of religious education. Students are encouraged not just to reflect on the physical dimensions of a religion but also core spiritual elements. For illustration, what is a “soul?" and how do religion and cultural norms enforce morality in our social world? Also when we look at the 10 Commandments, we examine them from a spiritual, moral, social and cultural perspective. Class discussions allow students to share their religious and secular views about a variety of moral issues.
