Weekly Update

Good morning to all our esteemed students, teachers and parents,

As we step into another vibrant week at our school, I'm thrilled to share with you the latest happenings and upcoming events that make our community so unique and dynamic.

Emphasising Equity and Diversity

This week our focus revolves around three pivotal themes: Equity & Diversity, Wider Curricular Opportunities and Reading. Let's delve into each of these.

Our school stands firmly on the principle that every young person deserves to see themselves reflected in our curriculum. Representation matters. It's essential for our students to envision a world full of opportunities, free from barriers, enabling them to dream, believe and achieve. Our assemblies this week highlighted our 'PROUD' values, with a special emphasis on 'uniqueness.' It's crucial for each student to embrace their individuality, fostering a community where differences are celebrated, and similarities unite us.

 Wider Curricular Opportunities

Celebrating our successes, the Year 11 boys' football team has advanced to the semi-finals of the Middlesex Cup, a testament to their teamwork and dedication. This achievement underlines the importance of our wider curricular activities. We encourage every student to participate in clubs, igniting passions and building skills that transcend the classroom. Let's aim for 100% participation and make the most of the diverse clubs our school has to offer.

 The Joy of Reading

As we approach World Book Day on March 7th, we're reminded of the power of reading. It's not just about celebrating books for a day; it's about embedding reading into our daily lives. Reading unlocks imagination, broadens horizons and is fundamental for academic success and personal growth. Encourage your child to explore our e-platform, offering over 30,000 books, and make the most of the book tokens for World Book Day.

Thank you for your attention, and I wish you all a wonderful weekend. May the days ahead be filled with warmth and joy.

Take care,

Louisa Seymour
