A Level Results

Students and staff at UHS have been delighted with this year’s Sixth Form results.  100% of students have achieved examination success with 94% of examinations entered passed with grades A-E or equivalent.  Over 30% of these examinations being passed at the highest A*-B grades. Mathematics, a top performing subject celebrated 50% of students achieving A*-B grades.

This year’s high flying A Level students included:

Bhavik Patel:  A* in Chemistry, A in Mathematics and Physics.

Christopher Lines: A in Biology, B in Chemistry and Maths.

Aalia Rehmanji:  Achieved an impressive set of 5 A level passes with A  in Business and Chemistry, B in Sociology and C in English and History.

Omar Safi: A in Chemistry and Mathematics, B in Biology and C in Physics.

Umar Dar: A in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry

Luke Chowles:  A* in Mathematics, A in Biology and Chemistry, B in Geography and Further Mathematics.

Luke has accepted a place at University College London to study Computer Science and Engineering, he said “I proved that it was all worth it, my self confidence is high”.

Luke joins record numbers from Uxbridge High School this year who are moving on to study both at local and Universities further afield.  The students above have confirmed offers that include for example, Mathematics at Bristol University, Politics of the Economic World at Kings College London and Material Science & Nuclear Engineering at Imperial College London.

Again 100% of Vocational students passed their examinations with record numbers scoring the highest grades of double and double starred distinctions. In Travel and Tourism, Sharon Mugisha Mbabazi, Ailis Garner and George O’Reilly all achieved DD.  In Business Studies, Daniel Horn and Thanusika Nadarajh achieved D* D*, Habiba Khanom DD, Priya Reehal D* D. In Performing Arts, Reanna Williams was delighted with D* D.

Nigel Clemens, Acting Principal, said “Results days are a particular highlight of the school year.  Staff celebrate with students the fruits of their hard work and most particularly enjoy hearing them confirm their university offers.
