Coca-Cola Enterprises Competition

Six students from the Sixth Form entered a Coca-Cola Enterprises competition. The Coca-Cola Team were delighted to receive their profile video and invited them to spend a day at their head office, Enterprises House in Uxbridge on Wednesday, 19th November 2014.

The day offered them a unique and exclusive opportunity to meet a broad range of people from their business, including Coca-Cola Enterprises Vice President and General Manager of Great Britain: Leendert van Hollander. They also met senior representatives from the Talent Acquisition team, who are always on the look-out for future employees! They learnt a lot about the different functional areas of their business and what big employers like Coca-Cola look for in terms of recruitment. As well as meeting people, there was a small team task to do on the day and three of the students won a Kindle each for the best presentation and team work.

Following our visit we received this email from Bill Muirhead, Senior Manager of the Education Programme at Coca-Cola: “I just wanted to drop you a quick line to say how impressed we were with the students today. They presented their ideas brilliantly at the end of the day and we were genuinely impressed not only at at the amount of information they had absorbed, but at how coherently and professionally they articulated their thoughts. In our opinion, they showed competencies and business acumen well beyond their years and were a complete credit to themselves, their school and, of course, their teachers”.
