GCSE PE Table Tennis Officiating

Having completed their table tennis officiating course in January, 18 Year 11 GCSE PE students attended the borough table tennis tournaments in early March, in order to put their officiating skills to use as part of their GCSE PE practical assessment.

Officiating students in years 7 to 11 from schools across the borough attended and the students umpired a number of matches each, displaying a good level of confidence and sound game management in the process. The tournament organiser and staff from Hillingdon Table Tennis Club commented on how well the year 11s had done.

There was further good news for those involved, with each achieving a score of at least 8 out of the possible 10 maximum for their GCSE PE practical grading, with a number of 10s awarded!
