Boris Johnson's visit to Uxbridge High

It was our pleasure to welcome Mr Boris Johnson MP and Councillor Susan O’Brien to Uxbridge High School. The visitors met with senior students from the sixth form, before being introduced to the students who wrote letters inviting him to visit the school.  Mr Johnson then took part in an Uxbridge High School Question Time led by year 10 student Alex Old, who introduced students from across the school to ask a variety of different questions. Mr Johnson answered questions on the Heathrow expansion, the environment, Uxbridge as his constituency and also his own education. The students, staff and governors listened with interest to his responses and definitely learnt a lot from Mr Johnson’s opinions. The students took Mr Johnson through our PROUD values of positive, respect, open minded, unique and determined before presenting him with a plaque made by the students commemorating his visit to the school.
