Book Week

The week commencing 2nd March 2015 was National Book Week, culminating in World Book day on 5th March 2015. In celebration of this we had lots of different activities and events going on in school.

Fantasy and supernatural author, Cliff McNish, who has written great books such as The Doomspell Trilogy and Breathe: A Ghost Story, visited Uxbridge High School and gave a fantastic talk to the Year 7 students about story writing.

The library also held a charity cake sale on Tuesday 3rd March, with the proceeds going to Book Aid International.

Many other events were held during the week, including a ‘Design a Book Token’ competition, treasure hunt and scrabble competition.
