Sixth Form Examination Success

Students and staff at Uxbridge High School are delighted with this year’s Sixth Form results with 100% of students achieving examination success.  98% of exams entered received a grade A*- E or equivalent and 40% of the examinations were passed at the highest A*- B grades. Art, one of the top performing subjects, celebrated 100% at A*- B. Finance (82%), RE (54%), Physics (50%) and History (46%) also achieved very high proportions of A*- B.

Again 100% of vocational students passed their courses with record numbers achieving Distinction and above. In Business Studies 73% achieved Distinction or better.  

 

Fern Stokes achieved an A* in Art achieving full marks in her exam. Sathuson Sivalingarasa will be going to University of Surrey to study Civil Engineering and Shadale Miller our Head Girl will be going to University of Reading to study Law.

Baljoyt Mangat is in the top 1% of the country with her financial studies certificate.  She will going to University of Reading to study Accounting & Finance with a year placement at PwC.  Sagar Kakkar, who spent an extra year in Sixth Form to consolidate his studies was delighted to gain the highest grade of Distinction* in Finance and Business.  Vicky Williams is the first in her family to go on to higher education.  She has been given an unconditional offer to study Business Management at University of Surrey.   Aleksandra Zawistowska has also received unconditional offers from Richmond, The American International University in London and Brunel University.

 

Head of Sixth Form, Mr Kerrisk said ‘we are extremely proud of the achievements of all our students.  I am delighted that all the hard work has paid off and to see so many students get offered their first choices.  It is also lovely to see that some of these students are going to be the first in their family to go to university'.

 

Once again, a record number of Uxbridge High School students will be moving on to a university of their choice.
