Enrichment Activities
Uxbridge High School offers members of the Sixth Form the opportunity to take part in a variety of enrichment activities. We have a programme of events that run throughout the year with speakers visiting the school to give lectures and presentations to the Sixth Form students.
This year these have included members from The Anthony Nolan Trust and NHS Blood and Transplant, Bucks New University, Blastbeat, HSE First Aid, Brunel University, Thames Valley University, City Year and Queen Mary University.
We have also taken Sixth Form students to lectures at Brunel University and workshops run by St Georges University.
Currently, Uxbridge High School Sixth Form students are due to take part in a variety of extra curricular sporting activities such as climbing walls, ice skating and snowboarding. Uxbridge High students have also completed expeditions in both Central Africa and Morocco over the past two years.
Students also have the opportunity to study some subjects outside of the timetable in our unique Period 6. These subjects include Psychology, Government and Politics and Photography. They are also offered the chance to be involved the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, the Young Enterprise Scheme and run their own businesses.
The Sixth Formers are proud and keen to organise a wide range of sporting and social activities, including regular social events and a May Ball, which celebrates their success annually. On joining, all students engage in an exciting induction and team building programme.
